My Uncle read this letter from Nola at the dedication on Sabbath.

                                                                                                                                 February 23,2013

Dear Mommy and Daddy,

I have come to your home from God. I want you to understand me, and what God has planned for me. I am a new life that has great possibilities, but yours is the responsibility to direct my future. Proverbs 22:6 says, "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old he will not depart from it." I am yours to mold. Please be careful what you make of me.

I would like to live a useful life for God and be ready to go to heaven with Jesus when He comes again. Will you dedicate yourself to this purpose? And will you plan a special dedication ceremony in which you dedicate my life to God and His service? I want Tio Migue to ask God's blessing on me and our family. We're going to need it, because in every family there are always tough times.

God instructs children "Remember...your Creator in the days of your youth" (Eccl. 12:1, NKJV). I won't be able to do that if you don't teach me about God. Spend some time each day reading the Bible,  praying, and telling me about God and how He worked in the lives of those who lived in Bible times. Be sure to tell me how He's working in your life now. Take me to church, surround me with good Christian friends, and above all, introduce me to Jesus, my Saviour and best Friend.

One more thing. Are you a good friend of Jesus? Have you accepted His gift of salvation? And are you living the life you want me to live? I will be following in your footsteps. Where are they leading? Are you on the broad road that leads to destruction, or the narrow way that leads to life everlasting ( Matt. 7:13,14)? I want our family to enjoy eternity together. I want that very, very much.

With love,

Nola Michelle Young
