Honestly I'm struggling. Hit the jump for the interview.

I recently finished reading the book "Honestly I'm Struggling" written by Heather Bohlender. It was very interesting and it made me think. The book was written off of her blogs from heatherbo.blogspot.com while she was serving as a student missionary in Cambodia.  I asked Heather if I could interview her for my blog and she was glad to do it.  If you have a chance pick up Heather's book do it.  It will be worth your time.

RY: Heather when we first met you were the basketball star that sang in church all the time that everybody seemed to love. I don't remember the first time I heard that you had an eating disorder but when I did my first instinct was curiosity. I did not know you very well and I all I knew about anorexia was from a paper that I had written about Karen Carpenter. How do you feel about introducing yourself to many people that don't know you through something that is very personal matter. I would imagine that this makes you feel alot more vulnerable. Am I wrong?

I just finished reading the book "Manhunt" by James Swanson. It was the very exciting story of John Wilkes Booth escape into Maryland and the search for him after he assassinated Abraham Lincoln at Ford's Theater. It took the Union army 12 days to finally track him down. While I was reading the book I started feeling a little sad for Booth. It seems like people have forgiven Booth for what he did. He wanted fame and glory so bad and I think that he achieved it. During his escape he spent five nights lying on the ground with a broken leg in the forest. He was in extreme pain. I really believe that he thought that he had done the right thing. Excellent book if you like history.

Malcom Gladwell

I just finished reading the book "Blink" by Malcom Gladwell and it was a great read. Now that I have finished "Blink" I have read all of Malcom Gladwell's books. Each book was very interesting in it's own way. "The Tipping Point" is about how trends get started. "Blink" is how are subconcious is very powerful in how we make our decisions. And "Outliers" is about what makes the people that stand out from the rest of us so different. You would be surprised to find what that is. I recomend these books for anyone who is interested in business or psychology
