Things I'm looking foward to for the week of Oct 10-16

  • Bout to have a good week.  Looking forward to my big trip out west this weekend.
  • Chiefs have a bye.  Huskers have a bye.  Tomorrow is double stamp Tuesday at Mr. Goodcents.
  • I'm looking forward to not having any more football intramural games.  It was an excellent season.  How could it not be?   Who doesn't like losing 4 games by 1 point or in overtime?  Who doesn't like not scoring in the playoff game?  Awesome season!
  • In fairness most of my team's shortcomings were not my fault at all.  For example in the half that I played QB tonight only 2 out of my 3 interceptions were my fault.  On one of them I lost my footing in a divot on the field.  I'm going to blame that interception on Rick Spaulding.
  • Those other two were all me though.
  • And I'm not going to blame myself on my shotty play on D either.  I'm going to blame it on my body.  And we are going to separate the body from the mind on this one.  Cause I knew where I should be but my body wasn't fast enough.  Michael Paradise compared my speed to syrup coming out of the bottle.  And not light syrup.
  • Also I want to blame the fans.  Alot of the time they didn't show up to our games.  How are we supposed to get motivated if our fans aren't there?  Most of the girlfriends for the guys on the team showed up and many times they brought a friend.  Just one friend.  Come on girls! Is it that hard to bring two friends?  You are slippin.
  • Also I'm going to have to blame Leif and Tyler for alot of our shortcomings.  Mainly because they picked "Light Blue" as our team color.  Do they not read this blog?  Do they not know that "Light Blue" was the color of my underperforming basketball intramural team?  We were doomed from the beginning.
  • Also I want to blame my Adventist parents.  If they would have let me go to public school I would have tried out for football and maybe made the team....ok maybe after I got cut from freshmen tryouts maybe I would have been motivated to hit the weight room and gotten buff.  If that would have happened I would be good at football.
  • Let's not forget the Navy team.  They deserve some of this blame.  If they would have played nice then we would have matched up against them in tonights playoff game.  Braden Frishman isn't on the Navy team.  He picked me off three times tonight.  If we would have played navy maybe I only throw two picks.  Therefore securing victory.
  • Also Jordan Breyer is on the Navy team.  He reffed our game tonight.  If his team would have made it he wouldn't have been able to ref.  Then maybe we would have had a worse ref.  He would have made us so mad that it would have lit a fire under us and we would have been motivated to win.
  • But let's be perfectly honest.  We all know who is to blame for this.  Stevie Johnson.  He ruined my football season when he made a dirty play against Eric Berry that tore his ACL.  That took my heart right out of this football season.  How am I supposed to play ball when my boy EB is hurt?  Not possible.

Solid work on the bullet points. I like how they weren't really bullet points at all, but an ongoing conversation that happened to have dots in and among it.
