Graduation

This is the time of year where I get emotional and sappy about the end of the school year and graduation.  I can't help it.  As I was listening to Jamison's speech today I felt proud of the students that graduated.  Students like Heather have inspired me through their testimony.  Students Like Alex have inspired me with their determination. These students deserve to celebrate a great achievement.
Graduation days all feel the same.  I have a lump in my throat that I can't swallow.  My heart feels heavy, yet I am happy.  As I was walking around taking pictures this afternoon I was reminded of how blessed I am to work at Union College.  Not everybody has a job that is as fulfilling as mine.  Each year during August I get to see the fruits of all of our hard labor in the Enrollment department.  It is a really weird job.  You work so hard only to really know if you were effective at registration time.  Each May we get to see why we do what we do.  It is worth it.
To the class of 2012:  Thank you for attending Union College.  Thank you for making an impact for Christ while you were here.  Thank you for making Union College the great place that it is.  I wish you God's richest blessings.
