- Usually after a loss like this I start feeling bad about everything in my life.
- But there is something different about this loss.
- It's not that this isn't a bad loss. Cause it was...terrible. Giving up an eight point lead shouldn't happen, just ask my city league church team...we were up by 7 and gave it up.
- It's not that I think KU should have won because of the officials. Taylor shouldn't have turned it over. Robinson shouldn't have taken those shots early in the shot clock. Taylor can't miss those free throws. And KU can't have Conner Teahan guard anyone that can dribble.
- My point is that those calls did were terrible but a good team has to overcome that to win the game. Plus calls go that way when you are on the road.
- Give credit to Missouri and Marcus Denmon. Incredible last minute and a half.
- But there was something different. I didn't feel terrible.
- When Taylor was shooting the free throws at the end I had no confidence that he would make them yet I didn't freak out.
- When we missed the shot at the end I didn't yell out in agony.
- I think it's a combination of two things.
- I have seen the highest of the highs and the lowest of the lows that a Jayhawk fan can see. I was there when we won the National Championship. I was there the last time KU lost to Mizzou. I watched us lose to VCU and Northern Iowa. And since I didn't attend KU and have parents that live in the state of Missouri the losses in the tournament hurt a million times more then a loss to Mizzou.
- All the pressure was on Mizzou to win tonight. Not very many people expected KU to win. If Mizzou would have lost it would have been devastating for them and their fans. KU just needs to protect home court on February 25.
- The other reason that maybe I wasn't hurting like I have in the past is that maybe just maybe...I'm getting older.
- I always complain to Buell that he doesn't care about sports anymore. I tell him that his heart isn't in it like mine is. He always laughs at me. I think he might be right. It's sports. It's for fun. I am happy. I have a great life...
- Plus Kim is a girl's name.
