Watching movies with your parents

Watching movies together is something that families have been doing for years. Its fun to laugh together at a good movie. As a matter of fact a lot of the movies that I have had on my list are there because I shared them with my family. But lets admit it, sometimes watching a movie with your family is not the best idea. Sometimes I see a movie and I really like it. So I decide to show my family. I convince them to watch it with me and while we are watching the movie every bad word is multiplied by 10. Every time someone says a bad word I hear my mom suck her teeth in the background. I start noticing all these terrible things in the movie that I hadn't when I was watching it without them. After a while instead of sucking her teeth when something bad happens on the screen she will say "Ricardo". Which means Richard to all of you non spanish speaking readers. Why is she getting mad at me because the couple on the screen is having pre-marital sex? I did not make this movie. I wish I would have made it. Then I might be seeing some cash my way. One time I was watching the movie "Airplane" with my mom. It is a pretty clean movie but there is one scene where everyone on the plane is going crazy because they are about to crash. For a split second a topless woman goes right in front of the camera and then moves out of the shot. When this happened my mom flew across the room and started hitting me. I'm like "hey hey hey it doesn't say executive producer Richard Young, I had nothing to do with this." My mom does not go to the theater. But every thousad years she will go for something very special. She went to the "Ten Commandments" when she was little. And she went to "Prince of Egypt" when that came out. The one time my mom decided that she would take us to a movie that didn't involve Moses was when "Titanic" was making all of that money. She surprised us. We never thought in our wildest dreams that she would take us to that movie. It was the most exciting thing of childhood. Then came the part where Kate Winslet gets naked (she does this in every movie she makes). I was hoping my mom would suck her teeth and then move on. But she let out a gasp. This is way worse. She started yelling at me "You knew this was in here!!" What was I supposed to say? Of course I knew it was in there. But was I going to tell my mom that. "Excuse me mother I know you want to take us to this movie but I must decline for the main actress removes her blouse in this picture". I don't think so my friend. Needless to say my mom was upset with me. I like the way my dad handles objectionable things in movies alot better. We will be watching a movie and something that would make eminem blush happens on the screen. My dad turns to me and says something like "This is a strange film". Phew. A lot better then being pummeled by my mom's fists.
