Intramural Power Rankings Week 2: This mug just got real interesting.

If anything is to be learned from the first week of intramural basketball it is this, You need to bring your A game to the thunderdome if you want to get that win. There is so much basketball to be played and if anything this last week made it more confusing then clearer. Who is better Navy or Purple? Is Light Blue the most overrated team in the league? Is Gray a good team? Will Jared Henry's team turn it around? So many questions. So without further adieu here are this week's Power Rankings.

1.  Purple Squad
Drew and T's team rise to the top of this week's PR's.  A convincing win against yellow and an overtime victory against the Orange squad means that this team is ready to play.  Orange did not use it's size as an advantage when they played this purple team.  Next week's matchup vs Navy will answer alot of questions.

2.  Navy Squad
Navy gets the #2 spot because they got bailed out on a technical against the Orange team.  This team has shown guts and determination in their first two wins.  Will navy be too physical for Purple to handle?  The next game looks like some of the old CVA vs Minnetonka flavor that we all love so much.

3.  Maroon Squad
The rest of the teams in the league have all lost at least one game.  Damien's team has shown consistency in playing hard.  This team bring's it's hard hats and lunch pale's every game.  They care to much to not play hard.

4.  Light Blue Squad
A tough win against maroon without their best player.  A bad performance against a hard playing gray team.  This team is clutch free throws away from being undefeated and winless.  If this team doesn't develop defensive consistency they will disappoint their wife and girlfriends.

5.  Gray Squad
This team was one game away from being the worst team in intramurals.  Nobody told this to Kody, Kyle, and Chase who pulled out an impressive victory over Light Blue.  This team is Jekyll and Hyde.  If they get on the same page they will be a tough out.

6.  Green Squad
The Green team came out the gate with a chip on their shoulder.  They showed that in their win against the gray team.  If a couple bounces go their way they are undefeated.  This team is a perfect example of the parity in the league.  Their next matchup with Light Blue will say alot about their season.

7.  Yellow Squad
This team is scrambling for answers.  Many people had this team as #1 or #2 when the season started.  Two bad efforts have put them near then end of the PR's.  If Seth and Jared want to turn this season around they need to develop some chemistry with their teammates quickly.

8.  Orange Squad
Technical fouls and poor performances have put these guys in the the basement.  Both games that they played came down to the final seconds.  That is just a testament to the play that is happening in this year's intramurals.  In order for Orange to get in the playoffs this year their sportsmanship scores have to be through the roof the rest of the way.
