Big Rich Holliday Mailbag

Ok it has been a really long time since I did a mailbag.  March to be exact.  And please believe the mail has been piling up.  So I will now present to you Big Rich's Holliday Mailbag.  If you any questions for the next mailbag please send them to riyoung31@yahoo.com.

Q:  Big Rich man it has been so long since you did a mailbag man...crazy.
-- Chrissy, Blue Springs, Missouri
BR:  I know right.

Q:  Did you get anything on Black Friday?
--Stu, Council Bluffs, Iowa
BR:  I actually did.  I went and got in line at the Oak Park mall at 9:30 on Thanksgiving evening.  I was able to get these shoes I have been really looking forward to.  It was a risky move because I almost got ran over by the hundred or so girls that were rushing to Aeropostale.

Q:  So you obviously knew that you were going to buy that Modern Warfare 3 game.  Are you any good?  What is your name on there when you play?  I bet I can beat you.
-- Stephen B, Colorado Springs, Colorado
BR:  Great question Stephen.  I am actually a little upset that I bought it.  I am so terrible at that game that I don't want anyone to know that is me on there.  I was playing it alot the first week or so that I had it.  But let's be real video games are for kids.

Q:  Are you just saying video games are for kids cause you aren't any good at them?
--Stephen B, Colorado Springs, Colorado
BR:  Ok this is a little creepy...how did you know I was going to answer that way?  How did you know to follow up with this question when you didn't know what my answer was going to be?

Q:  If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?  Would it be the way you treat people?  Would you try to think of others before you think of yourself?  Would you try to help those in need?
--Carol Wayzatta, Minnesota
BR:  I would reverse my lactose intolerancy so that I could tolerate 10x more lactose then the common man.  Then I would sit in my boxers eating ice cream and watch the Kardashians.

Q:  Do you have any brothers or sisters?
Cliff, Pierre, South Dakota
BR:  Actually I have a twin sister and an older brother.  My twin sister is the first girl in the LTP T shirt post a couple posts ago.  My brother Mike is two years older then me.

Q:  Aren't you going a little overboard with all of your NYC love on this blog?
Susan, Biz Markie, North Dakota
BR:  I know many people think so, but you tell me where else a man can find his five favorite foods in one stop.  Especially a man with such a refined taste as me.  (Sandwich, Pizza, Hot Dog, Pecan Pie, Silk Milk).

Q:  What are the top 5 restaurants in Lincoln Nebraska?
George, 4th floor Bathroom
BR:  In my opinion it goes like this.
5-The Mall Food Court:  Whenever I want to go check out kicks and see wass really good I hit up South Peazy for that Orange Chicken.
4-Rolling Wok:   Hate if you want but this place has the best Green Bean Tofu.  This is this the place I go when I have no idea where I want to go.
3-Village Inn:  There is only one place to eat on Wednesday.  The Village Inn.  Also it is one of your two choices for a Saturday Night.  If you don't like free pie on Wednesday then you really aint about nothing.
2-El Chapparo:  I have been to this place over 75 times and I only order one thing.  But that thing is tight!  Plus it is open real late at night.  Also if you are lucky you might be able to catch a knife fight or half of the Union College ASB team on a Saturday night.
1-Blue Orchid:  There is no competition.  I don't know how the best Thai Food restaurant that I have ever eaten at is in Lincoln Nebraska but it is.

Q:  What do you think about the Union College Warriors storming out the gate for a 6-4 start?  Are getting ready for intramurals?  Do you think you will win?
Siege Roeske, Loma Linda, California
BR:  I have only been able to see a couple of games but I couldn't be prouder of my UC boys.  Really looking forward to Saturday night so I can see how they match up vs Calvary Bible College.  And to answer your question about intramurals yes and please believe dat.

Q:  When are you going to add a new addition to your family (wink, wink, nudge, nudge)
Mother In Laws Everywhere, Everywhere
BR:  Actually I have some exciting news.  I am proud to announce that there is a new member of the Young family.  His name is Marcellus Wallace.  He is a black labrador retriever.  And he is my boy.  His name comes from my favorite motion picture Pulp Fiction.  We call him Wallace for short.  I met him for the first time yesterday and the first thing he did was give me a high five to the face.  And congratulations and my condolences if you read this whole thing!

While I thoroughly enjoyed this post, we need to talk about the difference between "then" and "than."

Also ... my top five Lincoln restaurants overlaps very little with yours:
1. Oven
2. Blue Orchid
3. Tokyo Steakhouse
4. Bison Witches
5. Pancho Villa
(6. Union Market, of course)
