#4 The Departed, 2006

The first time Dicaprio was in a Scorsese movie was "Gangs of New York". I was really excited to see it and thought that it was a great movie. His next movie that he did with Scorsese was the Aviator. It came out at Christmas time and I went to see it with Miriam and I thought it was good. After that movie came out I heard rumors that Dicaprio was going to be in a movie with Mark Wahlberg and it was going to be a gangster movie. I was so pumped. Then the huge news that Nicholson was going to be in it came in. By the time I saw the trailer for the movie I had already been amped up. The night I went to see it was one of those special nights. All the reviews I had read were saying that it was amazing. I was with Natalie. The movie is two and a half hours long. It was the fastest two and a half hours of my life. As I was walking out of the Grand I felt that this was one of the only movies that I had seen that had lived up to the hype that I had given it in my mind. I can't describe how good this movie is.
