Game Day Bullet Points

  • When I tell people that I go to every Chiefs home game they think I'm crazy. After a couple of weekends of driving six hours I think I'm crazy to. But I love my Chiefs. They are leading the division and I have been at every home game. Here is how it usually works.
  • Saturday night is usually a little crazy. If I'm not at an ASB event I am at a Basketball game. By the time I'm done updating LTP it's close to 2 in the morning.
  • The alarm wakes me up at 6:15 and I get up to take NaTaTa to work. She is amazing and while I'm doing all of this to have fun she is at the hospital helping people.
  • I get home and sleep for 45 more minutes before I go and grab all of my Chiefs gear/winter gear.
  • I hop into my 96 Camry and check my ticket six times to make sure I have the right ticket. They send you all the tickets at the beginning of the year so you have to make sure you have the right one. Today I actually turned my car on and realized my ticket was still in my night stand.
  • When I am driving I like to listen to whole albums through (I know that nobody cares about this). Today I listened to the New Yeezy, the new Cudi, and most of Thank Me Later.
  • When I get closer to Kansas City I usually call my mom and have my weekly conversation with her. When I get to KC I either go to the Paradises crib or they pick me up at the Zona Rosa.
  • We drive to Arrowhead walk to our seats and sit down at around 11:40
  • We watch the Star Spangled Banner, and then into the game. I kick it with JoJo who is one of the truest Chiefs fans you will ever see. She won't even leave the game if the Chiefs are getting blown out. I asked her why once and she said "Well when they look up here (the Chiefs) they have to see somebody.
  • When the game is over I walk to my car and call that kid Mikeydise. This year we get in the car celebrating (6-0 at home). If the Chiefs win I drive home to Lincoln listening to sports radio. If they lose I drive home listening to old John Denver albums. By the time I get back to Lincoln it's time to pick up NaTaTa from work and go home and watch Sunday Night Football.
