This is what movies are all about. Steven Speilberg has said that this movie epitomizes his work. He drew the story from the divorce of his own parents. This movie was a huge blockbuster and when it came out it took over Star Wars spot for highest grossing film of all time. I saw it when I was young and recently a couple of years ago. When I saw it last I was really touched by the friendship shared by Elliot and the ET. Here is my favorite scene in the movie.

LOVE THIS SCENE. Have you seen Donnie Darko? I love that homage to this scene when they ride their bmx bikes to grandma's house.
I love BMX bikes. I love the 80s.
